Hi, I'm Melody

I'm the heart behind Miss MarshMelody.

This little business began with something simple: I just wanted to see my name on things. Growing up, I could never find anything personalised with my name on it – not a keyring, not a notebook, nothing. So, I started creating things myself. What began as a personal mission quickly grew into something much bigger – a way to help others feel seen, celebrated, and uniquely themselves.

A couple of years ago, I was diagnosed with anxiety. Which had a lot of negative impacts on my life, so life kept on throwing those curveballs.

Those curveballs were the start of a journey I never expected but one I’m incredibly grateful for. After spending a year in therapy and counselling, where I learnt to work through old patterns, learning how to care for my mental health, and slowly building back confidence in who I was and reaffirming that my life wasn't over because the future I'd planned wasn't there any more.

Through that process, I found deep comfort in reading – stories gave me peace, hope, and perspective. Books became more than a hobby; they were a lifeline. Although my anxiety is sometimes crippling finding like-minded bookish people through my business makes me happier than I'd ever expected. That love now influences so much of what I create. You'll see hints of literature, gentle mental health reminders, and thoughtful touches throughout my work – each piece inspired by a journey of healing.

Therapy also gave me the courage to make a huge change. I walked away from a job that was no longer making me happy and decided to put my time and energy into this business – into something that truly lights me up.

Everything I make is created with care, intention, and a little bit of my story tucked inside. I hope what I create brings comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging – name and all. After all Miss MarshMelody really is just an explosion of my brain and I've opened it up for everyone to see.
